Weeks three and four have flown by. The Go Green, Get Fit is now 1/4 over. The biggest challenge for the past four weeks has been to stay consistent. Do you ever struggle with that?
My goal for this challenge is to continue to keep on-keeping on! Whatever your fitness goal, be encouraged to keep going.
I have done some soul searching during this challenge and I have come to the conclusion that life will always get in the way of working out. Our family will be traveling or sick. It will be too hot or too cold to go for a jog. I will not feel like working out or when I do, the kids need me. This pattern (and it is a pattern) has been my life for the past several years.
I know that my heart-health is import and that my example to be active and healthy for my children is extremely important. Yet, year after year, I maintain my “unideal” weight and wish that things were different.
For the longest time I have wanted to change, but I was not invested in making that change. Until now. I am grateful that this challenge, that I have finally come to the place where I am willing to change my behavior and get fit.
